Haiti Poster Project
THE HAITI POSTER PROJECT

In an effort to raise $1 000 000 for Doctors Without Borders, the HAITI POSTER PROJECT seek limited edition sets of posters from artists, designers and design firms from around the world to be sold online.  If you’ve yet to make a donation or aren’t able to, Olio will be donating screenprinting equipment, studio time & printing help to any Victoria artists willing to produce a print for the project – PLEASE take advantage of this, as this is a hugely worthwhile project.

The project concept is simple – As designers, we have the collective ability to do what we love, AND to create a difference. THE HAITI POSTER PROJECT has been conceived as a collective effort by the design community to unite and effect change through our work.  In order for this project to be successful, we are counting on designer participation.

Commit to having a print ready by March 5th and Olio will donate the studio time, films, screens, printing supplies and shipping costs needed to make it happen.  You need to supply your own paper & ink, though that’s it.

Time is VERY pressing – get in touch with Olio (admin@oliocooperative.ca) ASAP.  This is a very awesome opportunity and you would be foolish to sit it out.

HP 1120C
FREE STUFF: HP LARGE FORMAT PRINTER & OLD SCREENS

We've upgraded our stuff over the last year & hopefully someone can make use of our old materials.  We have our old large format printer, an HP 1120C that we used to print our 13x19 films, and old screen frames.

old frames
Neither are in great shape - the printer works, though intermittent & needs a refill in one ink cartridge & the mesh in the frames isn't great - though they are free.  They will be going on UsedVictoria soon, though mailing list folks & members get first crack.  Put them to good use!

To celebrate  an exciting and grueling first year, the Olio Cooperative are honored to host this group exhibition featuring some of the amazing people whose enormous efforts have made a second year possible.  As the name suggests, 03.20.10.GO opens on the first day of a packed second year with artwork by members Luke Ramsey, Shawn O'Keefe, Ryan Thompson, Calvin Coles, Joey MacDonald, Meaghan MacDonald and Alexander Carmichael.

OLIO ON FACEBOOK, TWITTER & TWITFACE!

You may already know, or maybe not (I didn't know until recently), but Olio are on Facebook & Twitter.  The image links littered throughout this page (as is the style these days) will lead you to said pages.  It's full of the most up to date info we've got going, so dig in!  We try to keep in concise, as we know how (intimately) much time Facebook wastes.  Fun.
